What are the key booking policies at Grace Centered Births?

How do I schedule a consultation with a doula?
Every journey with Grace Centered Births begins with a 30-minute Discovery Consultation. This is our initial connection to ensure our goals and energies align. You can book this directly through our portal with a minimum of 15 hours’ notice. Once this call is complete, we will move to insurance verification or private-pay logistics before providing you with the private link for our comprehensive 90-minute sessions.
What is the cancellation policy for appointments?
To honor the specialized time and grounded energy of our partnership, Grace Centered Births observes a strict 24-hour notice for all cancellations. If a session is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, the session is considered utilized. However, we offer an Active Labor Pivot: if you miss a session because you are in labor, the fee is waived and your session value is converted into a postpartum visit to be used within 30 days.
Are deposits required to confirm a booking?
Yes. To secure your placement in our clinical calendar, a non-refundable deposit or full payment is required at the time of booking for all private-pay services. For insurance-based care, we must complete our Step 2: Logistics & Verification call via Loula before your comprehensive initial session can be confirmed.
Can I reschedule my appointment if needed?
Absolutely. We know life with children is unpredictable. Every client is granted one “Grace Token” per contract, allowing for a one-time, last-minute reschedule for illness or emergencies. Beyond this token, if a session is missed or rescheduled without 24-hour notice, a $50 Session Recovery Credit will be required to book an additional 60-minute make-up session. This ensures you still receive your vital education while respecting our designated service windows.
